Millennial women have made great strides in the workforce. They earn more college degrees than men and have achieved record high levels of participation in the labor force. And when it comes to income, women age 25-34 have continued to narrow the gender pay gap. Young women’s median income has increased by 161 percent since 1948, according to data from the US Census Bureau. Income for young men peaked in 1973 and has been trending downward since. However, women’s earnings vary greatly depending on location. A recent report from Self Financial ranked the best paying cities for millennial women.
